Chinese electrical brand USANA are breaking into the western market with a range of high performance blenders. We were originally approached to advise with product design but this soon evolved into a much bigger integrated solution, taking the range all the way from concept to market.
We designed two variations of product – a smart blender with touch screen control and a mechanical precision control unit. Each available in a range of three colours, with packaging and collateral to suit.
We developed a brand identity built around the strapline "The Power to Live Fresh". This not only conveys strength and the power of their products, but also their ability to empower consumers towards a healthier, happier lifestyle.
All collateral, including manuals, recipe books, product videos and brand website were turned around in a six-month period, produced in both English and Chinese languages. We also created a sub-brand for Dr. Bruce, a nutritional expert, to support the campaign in China with recipe books and a blog.
The brand and product have been so well received that USANA has secured distribution rights throughout the USA, with future plans to roll out a national shop launch.
